How it all started

I began my foray into game development in 2017 by making animations in Blender at home in my spare time. This got me into 3D modeling and to study 3D graphics and game development for two years at Södertörn University. I learned a lot of things there, one of them being that I'm more inclined towards design and so switching to TGA to study level design felt like the right choice, which it really was.

At TGA I was able to further deepen my knowledge with software such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, and many more. I have learned to work as a level designer in an agile work environment in order to create a total of eight collaborative projects.

About me

Hello there, I’m Vilgot and I like making games. I have tried most things when it comes to game development, such as Animation, 3D modeling, scripting, narrative design, level design & game design. While I have a much deeper knowledge of Level Design, my other broader skills really help me communicate well with other development teams.

It was Half-Life 2 that opened my eyes to level design and I draw a lot of inspiration from its design in my own levels. I have always preferred first-person games that focus on player agency, critical thinking, and immersion.

Two years at Södertörn University, studying 3D graphics for games

Graduated as a Level Design student from The Game Assembly Stockholm.

EDUCATION

As part of my education, I had a 30-week internship at Odd Raven Studios where I had the pleasure of working with a talented team and got to test out and hone my game and level design skills in a live work environment.
